Do You Know About Cow-Op?
What it is: Cow-op is a Cowichan Valley online farmer’s market that’s open year-round. It is a non-profit farmer and food processor co-operative highlighting locally grown, harvested, and locally made foods. It features a variety of produce, meats, eggs, fruit, flowers, seeds, plants, baking, and frozen foods all grown or processed in the valley.
How it works: Each week the market opens at 12:00 pm on Thursdays. You can go to cow-op.ca and browse each week’s selection of products. The market is open from 12:00pm Thursdays until the following Monday at midnight. Pick-ups and deliveries are made every Thursday. Pick-up locations are Hope Farm, Lockwood Farm, and Muddy Feet Farm in the Cowichan Valley, as well as Zero Waste Emporium in Victoria. Deliveries can be made throughout the Cowichan Valley as well as in Nanaimo.
